Ohio Hills Health Services Recognized for Quality Measures

Posted 10/01/19

Ohio Hills Health Services (OHHS) was recognized by the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers (OACHC) at their Fall Conference for achieving four or more of the Clinical Quality Measures which are based on the Healthy People 2020 goals. Six other Community Health Centers in Ohio were also recognized.

Healthy People provides science-based, 10-year national objectives for improving the health of all Americans. Healthy People has established benchmarks and monitored progress to: encourage collaborations across communities and sectors, empower individuals toward making informed health decisions and measures the impact of prevention activities.

“OHHS is committed to providing quality healthcare to area residents and to achieve health equity, eliminate disparities and improve the health of all groups,” said Jeff Britton, CEO, OHHS. “We are extremely pleased to be recognized by OACHC and I am proud of our dedicated health care team for making this recognition possible.”

Each year, health centers such as OHHS report on their performance using the measures defined in the Uniform Data System (UDS). The UDS is a standardized reporting system that provides consistent information about health centers. The goal is to provide better care for patients, healthy communities and lower health care costs.

“Tracking the quality measures provides us feedback as to how we are impacting the quality of life of area residents and our impact on healthy behaviors across all life stages,” said Carol Davolio, Director of Clinical Services.  “This is the second consecutive year that OHHS was recognized by OACHC for the quality care we provide.  OHHS has a great staff and their hard work made this award possible.”

OHHS provides health care, dental care and behavioral health care. A sliding fee scale is available for those who qualify. Offices include the Barnesville Family Health Care and Dental Care, Freeport Family Health and Dental Care, Quaker City Family Health Care and Monroe Family Health Center.
