Ohio Hills Health Services Offers Early Morning Appointments
Posted 06/11/19Ohio Hills Health Services (OHHS) is expanding hours at the Barnesville Family Health Center to better meet the needs of area residents. Beginning in June, patients will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment starting at 7 am on Wednesday mornings. This will allow individuals the flexibility of scheduling a medical appointment that will not interfere with their work day.
“We understand that everyone’s lives just seem to be getting busier and busier,” said Jeff Britton, CEO, OHHS. “It is easy to put off getting the health care you need because it is difficult to miss work or because of family obligations. Our hope is the early morning appointments will appeal to some people and just make their life easier.”
The primary focus for OHHS is to provide prompt, courteous and affordable health care that is responsive and sensitive to individual needs.
“We are looking forward to the expansion of services,” said Russell Lee-Wood, M.D., Medical Director, OHHS. “The 9 to 5 model no longer works for everyone. Our hope is that expanded hours will increase access to healthcare for area residents.”
OHHS accepts most insurances including Medicare and Medicaid and a sliding fee scale is available for eligible patients. To schedule an early morning appointment at Barnesville Family Health Center or an appointment throughout the day at any of the four sites, Barnesville, Woodsfield, Quaker City or Freeport please call 740-239-OHHS (6447).
