OHHC-Woodsfield Welcomes Nurse Practitioner
Posted 05/11/22Ohio Hills Health Centers is pleased to welcome Morgan Stephen, Family Nurse Practitioner to Woodsfield. The addition of Morgan to the OHHC team will allow OHHC-Woodsfield to further expand early morning and evening hours to make health care more accessible for area residents. New hours are 7 am -7 pm four days a week- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Friday 7 am-4:30 pm.

Her experience with family practice and pediatric patients will allow OHHC to broaden our scope of practice,” said Jeff Britton, CEO, OHHC. “Morgan will also provide OHHC the opportunity to expand our early morning and evening hours to better meet the needs of the community. Morgan is a wonderful addition to OHHC and we are eager for our patients to meet her.”
Morgan always knew she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field and to be able to help people in her community. She has a solid background in nursing and her outgoing personality will put patients at ease. Morgan’s clinical experience includes a strong exposure to women’s health, newborns, and children. She is an advocate for health screenings, prevention, and immunizations. Prior to coming to OHHC, Morgan worked at Primecare of Southeastern Ohio as a nurse practitioner and as a registered nurse at Genesis Hospital in Labor and Delivery and in the Well Baby Nursery.
Morgan obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing, Ohio University Zanesville, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. Morgan is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
“I am excited to be joining the OHHC-Woodsfield team and to be able to work closer to home,” said Morgan Stephen. “I look forward to building a relationship with my patients and I am pleased to be able to offer the early morning and evening hours as I know this will help to better meet the needs of area residents.”
A nurse practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse that has additional education and experience. A nurse practitioner is able to prescribe medications, perform in-office procedures, communicate diagnoses, and order and interpret diagnostic tests. Nurse practitioners are integral members of the health care team in many hospitals and clinical practices.
