Early Morning Appointments a Success
Posted 09/16/19Ohio Hills Health Services (OHHS) began offering early morning appointments in June at the Barnesville Family Health Center to better meet the needs of area residents. Patients are able to schedule an appointment starting at 7 am on Wednesday mornings. This allows individuals the ability to schedule a medical appointment that will not interfere with their work day.
“The early morning appointments have been extremely successful,” said Jeff Britton, CEO, OHHS. “We have seen patients before they go to work, and we have also seen patients who have worked midnights and are on their way home. The response has been very positive, and we are exploring offering early morning appointments at our other sites.”
The primary focus for OHHS is to provide prompt, courteous and affordable health care that is responsive and sensitive to individual needs.
“Health care is changing, and we need to look for new ways to meet the needs of our patients,” said Russell Lee-Wood, M.D., Medical Director, OHHS. “The early morning appointments is an easy way to make healthcare more accessible.”
OHHS accepts most insurances including Medicare and Medicaid and a sliding fee scale is available for eligible patients. To schedule an early morning appointment at Barnesville Family Health Center or an appointment throughout the day at any of the four sites, Barnesville, Woodsfield, Quaker City or Freeport please call 740-239-OHHS (6447).
